Club Update
The club raised £440 over three nights carol singing before Christmas in aid of multiple sclerosis.
All the entertainments practices paid off when the club came 3rd at the west group entertainment round, Kingsmead school behind Williton (1st) and Exmoor (2nd), this meant we qualified to go through to the County round for the first time in ten years at Weston super Mare. At this round the club came 3rd again behind Highbridge (1st) and Williton (2nd). Well done to all members who took part or helped and many thanks to Mervyn, Jane and Alison. Its Panto next year so start thinking of ideas!!
Many members have also attended the South West area activities Weekend at Newquay and whether it was swimming in the icy sea, drinking from tea pots, seagull fishing, wearing animal outfits, attempted sandcastle building or taking part in the sports competitions all members had a great time.
Please come along to the Easter bingo on 16th April at Waterrow Village Hall to raise funds for the club. Please can members/ advisory bring a draw prize.
The county rally will take place on 10th May at Eastbury Farm, Carhampton by kind permission of the Parker family. There are many of our club members organising the rally, including Lorna, Gemma, Becky (handicrafts) Will, Roy (competitions), Alec, James (Livestock), David, Ben (main events). A lot of help will be required to help set up the site ready for the Saturday. All those members/ advisory who have entered classes, or have been asked to judge or steward, please make sure you are there before 10am. Also rally shirts are currently available for £25.
